The Massachusetts Board of Education passed a new Social Studies Curriculum Framework in June 2018 that mandates the teaching of social studies in all grades, including K-5. This training presents strategies to teach and integrate social studies in elementary schools. Participants will develop plans for your classroom and school.

Teachers; Grades K-5
Credits
10 PDPs will be awarded to participants upon completion of these two days of training, in addition to outside reading and assignments (as per DESE regulations).
Dates and Locations
This is a two-day training taking place at Hadley Elementary School:
- August 27, 2019 from 8:00am - 11:30am
- November 1, 2019, 8:00am - 3:00pm
