  • New from Mass Dept. of Elementary & Secondary Ed (DESE) History & Social Science resource page: 
    • The page has a new Civics Project Guidebook 2.0, including for Remote Learning and Civics Projects. Download as Word or as PDF. 
    • 2020-2021 HSS Implementation Update with expectations about student-led civics projects this year + FAQ.
    • DESE is offering a Statewide Affinity Network for educators of color. Register. 
  • New units and other exciting developments for History’s Mysteries. See below. 
  • The Massachusetts State Senate included $1.5 (m) in funding for the Civics Trust Fund but the House did not.  Conference committee will meet soon. 
  • “2020 May Have Finally Captured the Elusive Youth Vote” - Business Insider (Thanks to CitizenU for heads-up!) 
  • Share your stories of student civics projects. Mass Civic Literacy Coalition.  Student-Led Civics Projects - Use this Google form. Contact Mikayla with questions.
