Webinar Program
April 22 - 7pm Eastern Time - Explored the state of voting by people with disabilities and by young voters. Discussed strategies and programs for your school to register students with disabilities to vote and to prepare all students to make a successful plan to vote. (Originally part of National Civic Learning Week.)
Learned about history of voting by people with disabilities, including barriers to voting, efforts to overcome those barriers and current trends in voting. Gained perspectives on youth voting. Accessed resources to support developing a program to prepare and support students with disabilities (and all students) to register and vote. Discussed the most important strategies to support the disabled youth vote going forward.
