Landmark College Institute for Research and Training - Summer Institute for Educators

- The institute was established in 2001 to pioneer LD research, discover innovative strategies and practices, and improve teaching and learning outcomes for students with learning disabilities (like dyslexia), ADHA, and autism, and educators in high school and college settings.

Disability in the Gilded Age and Progressive Era
Rich Cairn presented June 17, 2024 to the virtual conference: A More Perfect Union: Exploring America's Story in the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, organized by the Chicago History Museum, Loyola University Chicago, and the University of Illinois Chicago with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
He spoke on the topics of institutionalization, disabled veterans, immigration infrastructure, the eugenics movement, and the long arc of disability rights. The post links to curricula, primary sources and other resources.
